Can't see any mention of Yorkshire although they are the holders of the trophy.

Welcome to the Emirates Airline Twenty20

The highly anticipated Emirates Airline T20 Cricket Tournament returns in 2017 with a brand new format and new host venue.

The Emirates Airline T20 tournament 2017 will feature six international teams playing across two days on 23rd and 24th March. For the first year ever, the tournament will be hosted at the impressive, world class, Dubai Sports City ICC Academy.

Some of the biggest stars in cricket are expected to play the tournament including Andre Russell, Darren Sammy, Jonathon Trott, Shahid Afridi, Jimmy Anderson, Brendon McCullum and Ian Bell to name a few.

Confirmed teams include the hugely popular Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars from the Pakistan Super League, Lancashire Lightning (2015 T20 Blast winners), the MCC Emerging England XI and Birmingham Bears (2016 RL Cup Winners). The full team line-ups will be announced in the weeks leading up to the tournament.

Seems like a competition on the up, if Yorkshire aren't in it they will be in the area around those dates.

Must be some heavy negotiating going on to finalise the programme.

They would normally have organised a group tour for fans by now.

Very tempting, was in Dubai a few weeks before Yorkshire last year and the conditions were very pleasant.

Juggling squads

I still haven't seen anything official about Yorkshire's programme for the pre-season tour in the UAE.

There's a lot going on in Dubai and Abu Dhabi at the back end of March with various Yorkshire players involved.

17/19/21 North v South 3 match 50 overs series (Leaning/Bresnan)

22/23 Yorks v Essex 2 day match

23/24 Emirates T20 tournament (MCC team which could include Yorkies)

26/27 Yorks v Lanc 2 day match

26-29 MCC v Champions County (Lees/Plunkett)

On or Off!

March 4 2017, 8:08 PM

According to the Essex draft itinerary for the fans trip to Dubai the 2 day match on the 22/23 is now v UAE.

Make of that what you will!

Full details and schedule now on the OS.

We play PNG twice (Papua New Guinea) How long have they been playing cricket, and will it be a meaningful test for us?

EDIT

To answer my own questions - from Wikipedia.
