Not as confident as would be with full attack.

I think Rafiq could be useful today...
Liam Dawson looked dangerous yesterday.

Early wickets required today. Would love to see young Ben add to his total.

just wishing the team well today

I went the first day but had to leave half way through the afternoon session as we have a week away in wales

I would have taken this position when I left at 130 ish for 6

the concern would be that this match follows last years match when hants batted better in the second innings

hopefully a different outcome today

this would be a huge win in view of the team out bowling wise

Don't have good feeing today after we failed to capitalise fully on our first innings advantage. We need some wickets before lunch. Today could be real test of Ballance's captaincy in using his main bowlers to best effect..

Preferably a couple of wickets before lunch, however the sun is in bloom and it could well be a long slog for our attack.

I'm not there today. This remains a good batting pitch and we must expect Hampshire to string together a couple of decent partnership. We should not panic if it takes time to make a breakthrough

Hard going at headingley. Our second string attack lacking penetration apart from ben coad. We dropped both openers in the first half hour. Lyth dropped a sitter and handscomb a harder one in the gully.

Could be very costly drops - we need another break through soon as they have dangerous quick scorers still to come.

Where's Egham Tyke when you need him? It was so imperative yesterday that a number of our batsmen contributed more than they did, credit to Ballance, Lyth and Hodd otherwise it could have been far worse. That said, come on Yorkshire!

I feel like this is just about over. To be honest I'd be surprised if they lost another wicket

Looks easy as pie for Hants at the minute. The time for just rotating the seamers is past, Rafiq should have come on, not Shaw.

Obviously, we have been disadvantaged on the bowling front, but the batting is more or less what we have given ourselves for this season. It is shockingly weak and continually performing poorly - carried straight on from where left off last season. I have seen sports teams sleep walk to relegation before and many ingredients are present with us: underperforming players keep place; recent success leads everyone to denial of problems; opposition teams scent blood. Usually, nothing is done until it is too late. We'll see.

A chink of light. Two quick wickets after tea could still turn this around.

Quite a bit cooler now with the breeze at our back the impetus is with Yorkshire.

Just how brilliant is county championship cricket? All of the fireworks, overseas stars and hype in the world means nothing when compared to a hard fought 4 (or 3 as this may be) day game where 80% in nobody has a clue who is in the driving seat. Also, is 3 days into the season too soon to think about the next session as being season defining?
