Think Lyth has to be dropped now. He has some problem. Needs to work on his game.

Why can't he play and miss like a normal opener?

He's too good Dave. Edges balls that lesser mortals would miss.happy.gif

Lyth's form is increasingly becoming a concern, it's happening far too regularly.

And now Bairstow has fallen. Oh dear! Is it premature to wonder whether we should have bowled first?

Barstow's rubbish too. Wish we had some decent players, like all the other teams in county cricket.

Thank-you for the link. Every county should have live video feed.

Not a great shot from Handscomb time to show that grit yet again.

Don't like omission on both Coad and Fisher, who with Willey are most likely to take early wickets. Do we really need two spinners (as well as Root and Lyth) at Edgbaston? Lyth is having a very poor month after promising early form.

Good that the video feed is now linked to the commentary. I am impressed by Warwickshire, the lack of live free to view cricket is one of the things that is slowly reducing cricket to a secondary sport.

Agree we do not need two spinners when we have Lyth & Root as back up, especially as Rafiq is not bowling well.

I was critical of playing two spinners in the last game where Root was playing but it turned out to be a sound selection so I shut up! Key for me is the emergence of Waite as a genuine batting option. Six front line bowlers seems a luxury but the approach has been borne out by the results I guess.
