Not ambitious enough for me. Could milk our way to 250. Although agree a fine line going too early and ending up 230 all out.

That was all we didn't need - Waite run out for 2 and only tail Enders to come - time for Rafiq to make some runs?

A very competitive total - well done Ballance and Rafiq and Derbyshire are going quite well in their rain affected match.

An absolute game changing Cameo from Azeem Rafiq at the end where Yorkshire did not look like hitting 5 runs per over.

The sound of willow hitting leather, echoing around the Rugby Stand was so pleasing to the ears as Azeem Rafiq timed and placed his shots so well against the death bowling of Tom Wells and Clint McKay. The confidence displayed when Rafiq elegantly hit the ball over Wells head for six to reach his 50, aroused the crowd with delight. Then greeted to a standing, rapturous ovation from the North-East corner as he walked back to the pavilion

...."And the reason is that Rafiq is not a like-for-like replacement for Rashid because his batting is less reliable - though an innings at Scarborough last season showed capability."

The two major differences are Rashid is a leg spinner to Rafiq's off spin. Rashid is a wristy batsman who looks to beat the fielder, while Rafiq plays his shots with panache and once Rafiq gets going he is an absolute joy to watch. Both spin bowling all rounfers with equal importance to any Yorkshire xi.

If Nick Knight and the Sky Sports crew at Headingley today instead of Derby, he would have spent the entire interval analysing how well Rafiq batted along with his comeback story, the greatest ever told in cricket.

Always hard to judge from afar but logically par off 45 overs is a higher run rate than par off 50. On that basis our score looks light. Add in rafiq and his scoring rate and you start to wonder

This could go down to the wire but still probably not enough to gain us the top spot if we win given how well Worcs are going.

Looking like we could well be snatching a defeat from the jaws of victory.

Good captaincy backing Fisher to rebuild after his earlier tonking. Entertaining game and very close to a bonus home QF (jinx alert!)

Edit: and he takes the winning catch - no harm done then...

A bit premature, but does anyone know, if we get to Lords for the final does the club get sent a allocation or is it all bought through the Lords ticket office?

Don't run before you can walk. We've a home knock out match, then an away semi to win before that. The previous 3 times I've been to a final I got tickets from Yorkshire.
