Re: Pre-match thread | Team v Lancashire CC?

Alex Davies is a terrific little player, prone to lapses as a wicket-keeper, but agile in an old-fashioned sort of way. I saw him (and Livingstone) get centuries against Somerset the other week, a game Lancashire won after trailing by 150+ on first innings.

Hameed looked dreadful - but we have reason to know he's not - and Chanderpaul wasn't playing.

Without both Jarvis and Clarke the seam bowling looks a bit thin, but they're still got Anderson, the tall Bailey and the strong McLaren, plus Procter's dibbly-dobblies.

The OT pitch did nothing for the spinners in that game, and Parry hardly bowled in either innings; McLaren looked their best bowler. Rashid got no joy there 12 months ago, if you remember, though he did the year before that. It might turn this time, if they're playing both Parry and Kerrigan.

We will probably have an idea what things look like when we see Yorkshire's decision at the toss / no toss, and the final composition of the two teams, which have to be declared before the toss.
