Record 4th wicket partnership, beating last years.

ThirdUmpire -- 330 minimum was my prediction. Likely to be much worse, unless we get Sanga out within the next 5 overs.

From here 330 would be a brilliant result for us.

Well done Karl Carver. Anything below six an over these days is very good bowling.

At long last, Sanga out. About 30 overs to late though.

It was so predictable that either Stoneman or Sanga would get a 100 against us, as they nearly always do when playing us.

We now need one of our first 4 to get a century to match Sanga's.

Our leading wicket taker continues to take em. Cmon Rafa!

Excellent from Rafiq - again going at under 6 an over is very creditable - and he does have that knack of taking wickets often at the business end of the innings - slows things down wonderfully. Limiting them to 50 off the last five would be a job well done if we can manage it.

If we can keep them to 300 or less, we have a real chance here.

49 off the final five overs. We can live with that. Great final over from Bresnan. I think that is a pretty good effort from Yorkshire, and a pretty average one in the end from Surrey. They should have done better with the wickets they had in hand. Game on surely.

Yes, definately game on now. Fantastic last 10 overs for Yorkshire, from where they were they should have got 350. Pity that the second last went for 26,or it would have been well less than 300.

A great fightback by us, but still lots to do. It looks as if it is easier to score quickly with the new ball and very difficult to score when the ball gets older. 50/50??

60-40 to them I reckon. The skipper and overseas obviously key to our chances. The openers setting a platform would be ideal too of course

Good finish by our boys with effort to the end.

Rafiq showed why he has a contract and is a strong one day player as was said yesterday.

And Fishers boundary fielding to run out Curran was top notch in the 50.th over after bowling and fielding for 50 overs. Bres didn't have to move an inch to take the ball.

Half time and all to play for but sky boys written us off already

I thought we bowled well and have given ourselves a chance.
Rafa bowled well but so did Karver.
Did we really need Fisher AND Waite in the team - or would another batsman have been more useful...?
I think we can do it - but we need someone to get a Century...

Strange with Rafa. It's like chalk and cheese between his CC performances and his white ball performances. I wonder why? Possibly a more attacking mind-set in 1 Day cricket "buys" him some wickets.

Agree Steve, we can do it but someone needs to get a century.

First time I've had chance to check the score today: quelle surprise, a century for Sangakkara! I don't think we can claim him as a bogey player though, he's this good against everyone: one of the best batsmen of the past 30 years without a doubt.

Surrey definitely favourites but 317 isn't unassailable: we've chased down more already this season. As others have said, we'll probably need a contribution to equal Sangakkara's from one of Lyth, Handscomb or Ballance to do so.

Another batsman to get his hundredth to bat at headingley after Boycott and Ramprakash but this time for Sangakarra it includes one day and longer formats

Surrey were 44/1 after 10 - and we were surprised the didn't get 350 in the end. Just shows what is possible if someone scores big

Yorkshire's required run rate has crept up and is approaching eight. A few boundaries would set that right.

Our best two batsmen will end up having less than half the overs to bat, that can not be right!

Well our two best batsmen now have their chance to win for us. Leaning showed some grit but was getting pretty bogged down at the end.
