Idle man; I am in the Mound Stand and can't comment. But that would account for his sour face at the decision

Not quite so confident now that we can avoid the follow-on.

37-3 in the last 12 overs.

Make that 37-4 in the last 12 overs.

We are now in big trouble, could well be batting again today.

Not looking great at present, time to show our resilience yet again.

Pattern of wickets today from both sides suggests conditions are more difficult than they were on day one, which is a pity!

Regrettably, this is all too predictable. Ballance being picked for the tests is almost unthinkable.

Maybe a bit, Martin, but does anyone really think we would have got 450 if we had batted first yesterday?

Conditions do not look difficult
Rashid shouldered arms
Hodd appeared to be beaten for pace
No atmosphrerics.
Pitch looks benign. As far as one can see
Middx are bowling well

I'm not Too the .tch. I have been glued to the commentary, d can only go by the commentators. So I stand corrected. So both openers out to dodgy umpiring.

Heading for another defeat against Middlesex - fourth in a row at Lord's?

I think we can definitely rule out a win for us. The draw looks miles away as well.

The only question is, is whether we can take it to the 4th day.

Come on Yorkshire.
Time to dig deep.
we can still avoid the follow on if someone can stay with Gary...

Another 'day of the Lords' for Yorkshire, where will it end.

Fragile batting lineup

June 20 2017, 6:00 PM

Alas, our fragile batting lineup is being exposed. We've dodged a few bullets this season with a couple of rearguard actions and black swan or two, but IMHO this lineup will not win us the Championship this season. And if Ballance is press-ganged away by the ECB...well, we all know that scenario.

We need a class opener...soon!

Pathetic batting performance - regelation more likely than winning Championship after we lose Ballance for international duties soon. Lees should be dropped and Brook to open with Lyth.

"Press-ganged"?? He'll be the happiest man ever to suffer that fate!

From a supporters standpoint. And I was being ironic...or at least trying to. -Akex

What a collapse 82-1 to 146-8. I feel really sorry for the yorkies down there, and glad I opted out this year. It would have really ****** me off to have spent £200 on train fares, entrance costs and hotels to sit and watch that collapse.

Our batting with 1 exception has been a problem all season, and for last season, and in two weeks time, things will get a lot worse when Gary gets selected for England.

Our bowlers, will ensure we comfortably avoid relegation. On the other side of the coin, our batting will ensure we are well short of winning the Championship. We need Warwickshire to pull something out of the bag to keep things interesting in that regard.
