Very quiet on here today, perhaps there's a lack of confidence.

This match will be very interesting. So many out of form batsmen in the side at once. Will TKC make his Yorkshire debut? How will Bresnan take to captaincy?

A match away from Headingley might do the lads good, especially Lyth at Scarborough and this is the perfect time for us to play one of the weaker teams in the competition. This really should be the win that raises our confidence in time for when we play the tougher sides. I'm remaining optimistic until 11.00 atleast.

Only 10 listed on cricinfo....

Batting looks light so I'm guessing leaning or KC playing as not shown?

Very inexperienced and short of confidence Somerset - we should make inroads here. They've dropped their captain.
I see Glamorgan opener managed to get run out in the first over of their game.

Siddy has come off injured. Any reports from the ground on what the problem is / how serious it looked?

Strange team...
I dont think any of us could have predicted our opening six batsmen for this game at the start of the season....

Great start though.
I just hope Ryan is okay.

Lower back muscle problem for Ryan. Sounds like he may not bowl again in the match.

Shame about Sidebottom if he cannot bowl more in this match - but that is the problem with selecting ageing warhorses.

Lancashire had the same problem with Chapple for several years before he retired (he missed 4 of the 16 games in the 2011 title season when he was also captain).

Good to have Hildreth back in the hutch. We don't want to have to bowl too long with Ryan out.

Glamorgan going from bad to worse!

An excellent morning's work, except for Sidebottoms injury. What happened to sixth ball of last over and lunch seemed bit early?

Early Lunch

July 3 2017, 1:42 PM

Went off, Alibor, for early lunch because of rain shower. Coad had one ball to bowl and , probably, one or two more overs. Out playing now and not lost any time.

At lunch we discovered

Brook had a long bowl so may be called upon to bowl a few assuming Sidebottom can't bowl

Leaning had a long net. Fascinating to watch technical coaching in action from Moxon in particular. Seemed to be about playing with a straight bat. Head position etc. Leaning asking lots of questions. Good stuff.

Oh and Gale takes a few overs to find his range with the dog thrower.
