Just the one trophy to play for now, and that starts tomorrow.

The way Plunkett was hobbling around today, and had to bat with a runner, I can not understand why he is even in the squad. It will need a miraculous recovery for him to play tomorrow or even the following day or next week.

Probably the best side in our group for starters.

Coad, Plunkett & Patterson to miss out from the following squad.

14-man squad
Tim Bresnan ©
Ben Coad
Matthew Fisher
Peter Handscomb
Tom Kohler-Cadmore
Jack Leaning
Adam Lyth
Shaun Marsh
Steven Patterson
Liam Plunkett
Azeem Rafiq
Adil Rashid
Matthew Waite
David Willey

Bizarrely there is the makings of a good team on paper. But tomorrow we are playing on grass which may be a problem.

Hopefully those not distraught from today like Marsh and Willey can have an influence with younger players like Fisher and awaits.

Looking forward to this, strong side. Should definitely be challenging for the trophy.

My anticipation for this game and competition has wained somewhat after the last few weeks in the CC. Not expecting an awful lot but hope it's competitive to bring the floaters back for more. If our current CC form transfers across they won't be returning, and who can blame them.
