Apart from Lancashire of course this has to be our biggest crowd puller.

Decent weather forecast and two very good and attractive teams, on paper.

Plunkett will be a big miss but will provide an opportunity, probably for Waite.

My team:

Lyth, Willey, Marsh, Kohler-Cadmore, Handscombe, Leaning, Bresnan, Rashid, Rafiq, Fisher, Waite.

Hope to see 3 or 4 games, but not this one. I'll be listening though.

Now here's the thing. I've just spent four days at Scarborough in mostly miserable conditions watching Yorkshire capitulate to a team rooted in the relegation zone. Can I bring myself to trudge up to Headingley to watch a high proportion of those who failed to show any application when it was needed now flailing and heaving around in pursuit of 'quick runs'? What should I do?

Geoff B - I would pick the same team but replace Leaning with Patterson. Think we have enough batting there and should perhaps have some different options in the bowling department.

Patterson shouldn't be in IMO. Line and length bowling is too predictable in T20

We couldn't have a tougher start than Notts, they could get 250 the way their batting is firing. We are shot of confidence and must hope the players free up a bit in this format

This Lyth fella's not bad.

Does he play four day cricket as well?

Good knock. However I bet he's been playing balls he ought to leave.

Raising his game for the superior format isn't he Idle Man👀. Enjoying this 'rounders' game. Great to see the stadium near full. Much needed money for the club

Over to the bowlers.

Well done the batsmen, I'm sure they will have enjoyed that.

That seems like an excellent batting performance and pretty much the template for a big score, a couple of high scorers at SR of 150+ and some short and very sweet cameos in the final overs to push it from a 200 to a 220+. Other than TKC (I'm sure he's got a big innings soon) well played batsmen. Over to you bowlers.

Heartening innings, whatever the eventual result. Marsh may be just what we need. Older, wiser head.

Superb.

Small boundary towards West stand and their powerhouse line up, means we will have to bowl well still.

Must be entertaining for large crowd - great that Lyth had good score and also Willey and the two Aussies. Would be excellent if we can beat one day champions for starters. Is another Hales repeat happening again? Well done Rafiq!

Good to see Jack Brooks and Will Rhodes supporting the lads, sitting 8amongst the drunken beer swilling yobs in the packed out Western Terrace.

The East Stand looking barely half full in comparison. Some of our membership base who have acquired tastes to cricket are missing out on some high quality cricket, with both sides fielding no fewer than 12 internationals. This is what the 5 figure crowd have come to see.

The more beer swilling yobs the better as far as the balance sheet goes.

Hope they all bought a replica shirt before they spent all their money on beer.

On the cricket, the spinners in tandem have once again done the business.
