I am afraid after seeing all four days at Scarborough, I am with the pessimists. This was a very poor display. Turning point for me was the Somerset last wicket stand. After that we were chasing the game. Bright spots - Harry Brook showed again he will be a good batsman, and great credit to him for stepping in to bowl. Also Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who looks a good acquisition for more than just the short form game. Unless you want to forget the match altogether here are some pictures

AND AN ADVERT

Many thanks to those who have bought my book 'A Game Taken Seriously: The Foundations of Yorkshire's Cricketing Power', a history of the development of cricket in Yorkshire in the 19th century, published in March (336 pages, 43 photographs).

I still have some copies available at cost price (£12 plus £2 postage) for WRF users (instead of £20). If you would like a copy please contact me via agametakenseriously@gmail.com

More information on the book here including a recent review from the Yorkshire CCC Southern Group newsletter
