Warwickshire squad

Ian Bell (Captain)
Tim Ambrose (Wicket-Keeper)
Keith Barker
Colin de Grandhomme
Grant Elliott
Sam Hain
Oliver Hannon-Dalby
Ateeq Javid
Jeetan Patel
Ed Pollock
William Porterfield
Josh Poysden
Boyd Rankin
Aaron Thomason

Their 3 NZ players will be their dangermen.

3 home matches on the bounce now and all against some of the "weaker" sides in our Group. A good opportunity for us to get 3 wins on the board and get some momentum for the much tougher matches to come.

KC will not be available for the match v Worcestershire as agreed when the transfer went through.

I attended Warwickshire's (sorry Birmingham's) last T20 game - a home defeat to Leicestershire. They looked pretty uninspired, with a distinct lack of firepower in the batting lineup. Porterfield was the pick, and de Grandhomme looked as though he could hit a long ball, but collectively they managed the chase very poorly in what was a low-scoring game. A side low on confidence, on that evidence (as indeed are we).

You may be correct, but I would suggest it's a little too early to tell.

Willey doing some serious pounding, I prefer the old cricket score format on espn.

Marsh chipped in with 4 of the 50 partnership. Dave on fire.

Poor inns that from Marsh. Waste that many deliveries need to go through gears at the end.

I hope that is above par

Hoping they might be knocking on the door of 200 but they certainly have something to defend.

Hope David Willey plays a blinder with the ball as well as the bat.

Decent total by Yorkshire. Willey played well. Yorkshire should be able to defend it.

If Coad's in the team he needs to bowl, others are getting a bit of tap now, time to make a decision skipper!

Lazy captaincy

Not a great fan of bowling the spinners in tandem straight through. Hope we don't come to regret it.

Just out of interest, I wonder if Willey might end up a better batsman than bowler. I only say this on the basis that when the conditions don't suit his style of bowling he tends to be a little ineffective.

Seem to remember that Bob Woolmer (I think) made the transition at test level, although I can't actually remember how good his bowling was?

I'm talking about Willey in the biff cricket not test match btw.

Good evening

Excellent win for Yorkshire with other results going our way.

Derbyshire lost in a thriller and looks like Leics will lose on D/L.

Looking forward to watching some live action on Sunday if the weather behaves.
