Alibor, think I'd rather have Lees still there than Leaning with 1 off 7 balls; what is that all about? sad.gif

We are not going to qualify, as we just can not chase any total however small it is.

We have now to win all 3, and we have no chance of that, unless we win the toss and bat first in all 3.

That Leaning/Bresnan partnership some kind of joke. Embarrassing. If Dave Willey can't get a gig in this side at Scboro..

a dreadful performance and defeat

any other team would knock off 157 comfortably

failure to qualify would be an embarrassment particularly in view of our crowds

no doubt we can expect little better at scarboro in the championship also this week

for myself I am hoping we will not have gale in charge next season

Pathetic run chase - went too slowly in mid overs, leaving too much to do at the end. We do not deserve to qualify for later stages.

Is it me or do we always seem to come second in the close games?

Do we choke when the pressure is on, surely in modern day T20, 150 odd should be chased down without going to the final ball and then still coming up short.

This season is teetering on the brink as we speak. Very disappointing.

Hope the hierarchy have the answers.

erm , we have also lost the last two in which we batted first. sadly and probably for a variety of reasons the team and the season are in freefall.

Another pathetic attempt at a chase. That's us done in terms of winning anything this season. Just a depressing struggle to avoid the ultimate humiliation now.

We needed 43 off last 5. Hardly left too much. Run of the mill.

The only way we are going to qualify is to bat first, get over 220, and win all 3, and let's face it, that is not going to happen.

We have regressed alarmingly this season in all 3 competitions under our new coach.

Lees actually used up 7 overs, faced the majority of balls and apart from his 4 boundaries, he scored 11 form 22 balls when we needed not to allow the required run rate to become too demanding. It was not surprising that Willey, Safraz and Bresnan perished trying to recover momentum then required to win the match. I still maintain that running between wickets needs attention - it was great to see Root, Stokes and Bairstow showing how it should be done at Old Trafford today!

Durham v Yorkshire T20

August 4 2017, 10:04 PM

If we can't beat the bottom club we haven't a chance. I fear for the rest of the County Matches as well. Gales first season is going into down the tube.
We don't seem to have the depth in batting without Ballance (or Root or Bairstow!). Existing batsmen seem out of form or just not up to it so we become dependent on bowlers batting(eg Willey) - like Bresnan
last year.
As regards the bowling I assume Arnie and Plunkett are both injured but what about Brooks and the promising Coad??

Alibor, it's T20 how the heck can you ignore Lees' boundaries. If you ignore Chris Gayle's boundaries in T20 he's score beggar all happy.gif
