We seem to be more reliant on "As if" and "Butt" than your average Lahore bookmaker...

I suppose if the miracle is to happen we want a Lancs win tonight so they have something to play for against Warwickshire.

Bit of a leveller

August 16 2017, 10:53 PM

Lancashire eventually won a low scoring game on what looked to be a lousy pitch to keep themselves just about in it.

They did boost their NRR but not by enough to overtake us, presuming we win tomorrow.

I suppose we might see some crazy results on Friday in both groups with the points being so tight.

A team such as Lancashire or any team in the South Group might easily implode as they push too hard to try for a big enough winning margin to get themselves over the line.

If it comes off we might see some team post a record score.

All four games are going quite well for us after around 12 overs 😀

Desperately trying not to check the scores but can't help myself.

May need another Hales special at Trent Bridge, most games going reasonably well though...

Tense stuff. All 4 matches could go our way, but just as equally could all go against us.

Fingers and toes crossed!!

Durham and Worcester doing well at half way, Lancashire 50/50 and Notts have big run chase so all is not lost - yet 😀

You have to fancy Notts in any run chase.

So at half time on the last day

Leicestershire have over 200, should win, Notts can't keep chasing over 200 - bad for us
Lancy's at about par but suspect Warwickshire (I refuse to say Birmingham) will pass their total - bad for us
Derbyshire below par, but got themselves out of something of a hole, probably still advantage Worcs though - good for us
Durham going like a house on fire, still 14 balls left and look like topping 200 and then some. Will be a tough ask to chase that total down - good for us.

If 2 of our challengers win and 2 lose we end up 4th, which is better than anyone expected before our final game; when it was all doom, gloom, relegation battle, rubbish at T20, sack the coach, sack the captain.

As someone famous once said - "funny old game"

Lamcd never lost a load of wickets. Buttler out near the end struggling to up the rate. Suggest the ball is not coming onto the bat too well at ot

Have lancs favourite

Warwickshire 23-0 from 2 overs.

The ball might not be coming on to the bat but it's definitely going off it happy.gif

The three other 15 pointers lose and we get home 1/4 final but Headngley nor Scarborough available so do we play at Durham!! Funny old game, but suspect more drama yet to unfold and maybe DL will come into the reckoning. South group also intriguing.

Hales is out, Leics now favourites?

Warks 34 off 3, a win for them?

Hard work to keep up with this...worcestershire lost a wicket without scoring but chasing a modest total so should be favourites...

Bad start for Lancashire in defending 160 odd but a way to go

Who knows what Notts will end up doing, chasing over 200 is certainly not impossible for them as we know but they'll need luck to go their way

Finally, northants chasing 208...repeat their powerplay from last night and it's possible but the way they then folded gives me hope Durham have a good chance

Beginning to look like wins for Derbyshire, Leicester & Warwickshire.

Not a single win away from home has been our downfall and losing every tight match.

Rain is good for Northants, they could end up with a reduced over slog fest with a wet ball - improves their chances against trying to score 209 in 20 I'd say sad.gif

All the other games are not looking like they're going our way 25% of the way through the second innings

Need the Lanky's to get a choke on or I fear it's thank you and goodnight
