Jeez run a ball 16 at the back end when chasing 204. Horror knock.

Bloody marvellous

Wrong side of a tight finish again and we weren't even playing

We always seem to lose the tight finishes, and another one tonight.

Should never have come down to this with the players we have.

What an irony - our fate sealed by another Root, who could not find the boundary in his 16 ball innings. Long wait now for more county cricket. No bones about it - we messed up in this competition in which we should have qualified.

Buggar. Nearly three weeks now without a match before the relegation scrap really begins (oh joy, I can hardly contain my excitement). Coach and players need to make good use of the break.

18 days before any more cricket for us. Naughty boys nets for everyone for the next 17 days, then back to the fight against relegation.

Just checked the lancy game

Had given that up at about 130/1

But warks only just did it by 2 wickets and 3 balls to spare

Its a shambles not to qualify with the players we had available to us.

Doesn't seem right somehow.

Somerset got fewer points than us and less than half our run rate and still qualified

Our nrr was more than double anybody else's in either division

Sorry folks but run rate is irrelevant unless you are on the same points. What matters is winning matches and Yorkshire couldn't do that away from home. Forget that it was by a few runs or under an over, we still lost.

I do have to wonder if Yorkshire have broken the record for having the highest run rate of a team who didn't qualify for knock outs

Sometime over the next winter Yorkshire will enter their worst ever limited overs time without winning a trophy. The previous was 11th July 1987 to 31st August 2002.

T20 Blast

Well only three teams in the top division of the County Championship qualified-one of which is bottom and will probably be relegated. Of the five teams who qualified from the Second Division three are currently in the bottom four,
Funny game T2O!!

At least you are not as RUBBISH as Lancs, who had a truly dreadful campaign.

But what do you expect when you cannot be bothered to hire a 2nd overseas player.

"18 days before any more cricket for us. Naughty boys nets for everyone for the next 17 days, then back to the fight against relegation."

I doubt the man responsible for Yorkshire's downfall will be there for naughty boy nets this weekend. The only relegation scrap Gale is interested in is that of Huddersfield Town in their quest for Premier League survivial.

Well we threw a lot of resources and money at this competition and still came up short. Three overseas players and none of them were worth the money.

Glad I switched sports for the evening.

Gutted with the other results that put us out but at least I got the bad news all at once instead of watching it all go wrong.

Don't know how it happened but Derbyshire beat us twice so I shall be rooting for them in the quarter's.
