Apparently a metal arrow has landed on the pitch!

Sounds like a serious incident, fired from outside the ground.

Sounds pretty bizarre and disturbing. There are some low-lifes about, aren't there? Although having said that, I'm just re-reading a biography of WG and it's noticeable how frequently the players had to fight off physical attacks by spectators in the mid 19th century.

It was heading that way anyway.

Disturbing times.

More empty space than players out there but it could easily have ended in a tragedy.

Is there no limit to Strauss's evil power! Middlesex 7 down and in danger of a damaging defeat...

If by some miracle we have them on the ropes next week, look out wink.gif

Edit: I seem to have misread the state of the game. Was heading for a draw anyway. Strauss blameless on this one.

Does he have an alibi covering the time frame of the incident!

Not forgetting Leapy Lee.

Or perhaps someone decided that cricket needed to beat soccer for madness on "Waste millions on pounds on blokes who run and kick a ball around a field" Day.

This sounds like an apt moment to remind people of/introduce them to the timeless W.G. Grace's Last Case or the War of the Worlds Part Two by Willie Rushton.

Surrendered

Appears a 35 man has turned himself in to police over this incident, he has been charged and released on bail.

I hope it turns out to be an act of thoughtless stupidity, rather than anything more sinister.
