Re: Championship | Yorkshire vs Warwickshire at Headingley (Day Two)

I thought the Yorkshire batsmen played well today and most of them were out to good balls rather than donating their wickets.
Regarding the narrowly missed bonus point - at least four runs were turned down on Tuesday evening, to protect Lyth when Petterson came in as night watchmsn. On the other hand Patterson did take a single off the last ball, so was facing the first over this morning in which his wicket fell to the third delivery.

Looks like we will get 2 hrs of play tomorrow, while Surrey & Middlesex will get a full days play, if the forecast is correct.

a simple thing that made a big difference to the game, upwards of 50 runs were leaked through an unguarded third man on warwickshires innings. whereas warwick defended the third man boundary from the start. 50 runs make a big difference. then in the first over of the second innings sibley sliced one to the third man boundary. it was only when the crowd shouted at ballance the third man was posted.
