A record defeat

I hope the lads can summon up the mettle to avoid the largest RUNS defeat in Yorkshire's long and proud history (324 runs). This is almost beyond belief. Almost!

Leaving Scarborough on day 2 felts bad enough but thank goodness I decided not to go to Chelmsford. I accept we don't have a God given right to win the championship every year but I do expect a team representing YCCC to show fight & passion is that too much to ask for ?

Our batting is fine in essence, the problem is with the bowling of the opposition.

Time for Gale to take a step back and learn the craft. No way should he be in charge for next season.

Essex v Yorkshire

Is something "going on" here? Some deliberate action to provoke change.........

So glad I did not waste £40 on train and admission to see this shameful capitulation.

All our players just want to go home. I think this is the worst I ever seen.

There's certainly some food for thought there.

I have considered Lees has been 'protesting' all season.

No shame losing to a very good Essex side who have took nearly everyone apart this season with there bowling attack.
But this is just embarrassing.

I know that Essex have a fine attack but this really is humiliation. Are they just having a slog?

Fisher is the first batsman to pass the half hour mark in this innings.

My Blackpool friend,

Are you delusional? As I type we are 38 for 8 chasing 450. Like Essex at ScRborough this is humiliation in anyone's book. Add in all the other batting collapses and that's why most opinion on here is now using every detrimental adjective going. God-awful sums it up.

This is disgraceful. Absolutely disgusting batting.

We have a coach and director or cricket who are both ex batsmen.

Either they cannot coach sufficiently or there is a problem with the batsmen.

I want to keep Gale. He deserves more time - But we need to see a huge improvement.
