Well Hales' absence has given Roy a route back into the side...

No natural replacement for Stokes; a bowler in and Moeen and Woakes move up the order?

I suspect they'll want more than three seamers, but we shall see...

why would they do that?

he has not made a single 50 since returning from injury.

England would be daft to give him an ashes ticket, unless its as a spectator

4th one day international England vs West Indies at The Oval

I suspect Third Umpire had his tongue in cheek, given the ECB's tendency to look in our direction for players even though our success rate in all forms is currently so low.

Three successive missed catches cost Adil 14 runs - Roy skier, Buttler getting up too early and fielder not back on the boundary

Morgan was lucky to survive as long as he did - surely time for him to retire now from all forms of England and County cricket?

I can't remember a single post of yours which didn't have a pop at either Gale or Morgan.

Good to see Jason Roy back in the runs. Moeen striking the ball ridiculously clean.

That was smart and brilliant batting by Moeen and Buttler.

Interesting dilemma for who opens in the final match....

Indeed, if Hales is available I suspect Roy will keep his place and Bairstow will take the middle order slot that Billings will vacate. I think today showed the value of England having the sixth bowling option anyway.

I thought the DLS was quite favourable to England, but Buttler and Moeen did brilliantly to exploit that.
