The good old days?

I have just clicked on an ancient bookmark which I must have migrated from browser to browser, and found it links to the YCCC official site from 2001! http://www.yorkshireccc.org.uk/

The front page has a nice picture of Darren Gough in Yorkshire Tea orange, and the whole site seems to be there - pictures, player profiles (Ryan Sidebottom - promising youngster, whatever happened to him?), shop...

Worth a look if you want to escape from 2017 for a while.

Wow!! £84 for membership. Gone up a hell of a lot for a lot less cricket.

16 CC matches, 3 one-day competitions, and a Univ. match (at Bradford) then, and still the season finished earlier and started later than this year.

Life membership only £1680!!. A lot then, but we do not even have that option now. At todays prices, in 10 years it is paid for (I pay £165 now).

Things have come along way since then re content & design. The web-site was pretty basic then.

Over 65 rates!!

Crazy but true. You retire and have more time to watch cricket so can go to more matches, but you pay less for your memberships.

£84 if it had gone up with inflation would now be £127.49. Gone up a fair way past that.

But surely the spectator experience is now better in an updated ground with improved facilities

It might have but that's debatable, my point was purely about the number crunching.
