There are some interesting photos on the official site and a monthly report by the project manager of the demolition contractor.

Webcams

October 21 2017, 9:33 AM

Some links on the Rhino's web page to a couple of Webcams running from their side courtesy of SMUK webcams on youtube.

They won't run on my very much out of date browser which is on it's last legs so no idea how good they are.

YCCC webcams on their way, apparently.

Am i the only one who find this all a bit sad....?
I was no huge fan of the football stand but it was the very last bit of Headingley that had any sort of character. After this there will only be uniform grey concrete for miles and miles...

Progress i suppose.

Hate to say this but it somehow reminds me of watching Yorkshire at times last season.

I've been watching the webcam for about five minutes on You Tube. There are three JCB-type machines currently working, of which the orange one nearest the camera seems to be grabbing mostly thin air. When it does manage to pick up something, it misses the skip with it.

Just saw the green tractor & trailer thing attempting a reverse in the area which was once the preserve of the ropemen. I reckon it was slower than Ray Lehmann, but probably quicker than Alan Kaye.

In true Fred Boycott style, I've seen better examples of digging in on our side of the stand

To answer the questions set by Steve, I'm sad. I rather wish we could have redeveloped rather than demolished.

South stand starting to rise

November 14 2017, 9:54 PM

Couldn't resist a peek yesterday while I was in Leeds. They certainly seem to be getting on with things.

North/South stand almost down and quite a lot of clear ground in view, reckon it will all be gone by the end of the week.

New steelwork already going up on the Rugby south stand in the area around the two little buildings that weren't demolished. Presume they house the electrical and other services and will be incorporated into the new stand.

Finally down

November 22 2017, 12:58 PM

The final bit of the football stand above ground level has now been demolished.

Still some concrete and seats on the rugby side to be removed but plenty going on.

Live coverage on all three cameras is a bit sporadic, some of the links take you back several days or even weeks.
