"The legend of the Ashes began with a mock obituary following Australia's victory at The Oval in 1882 - but now, 135 years later, the Aussie media are asking whether the rivalry has expired for good, as England brace themselves for what could yet be their third whitewash in four Test tours Down U." - ESPN

If this were written around the late 90's they might have had a point with series after series going the aussies way. Asking it now with England winning 4 of the last 6 and Australia not winning away since 2001 says they're enjoying their current success and on a bit of a wind up. As it stands the home team have won the last 4 series reasonably comfortably, the challenge of the ashes in the modern era for both teams is adapting to foreign conditions and coming away with a win.

Well at least Starc is injured.

But then they bring in Bird whereas when one of our leading seamers gets injured we bring in a rooky leggie
