Response to the first message.byAs the second message to be posted, I want to open a discussion on the subject of antennas. I have always used dipoles and find myself getting interested in the use of vertical antennas. In reading everyone's literature on their antennas, I find myself interested in the GAP for several reasons. First, it doesn't seem to require a major installation of ground radials.. Second, it could be used as a mobile antenna... well not moving anyway... The main issue of concern is the increase in noise when using the vertical. Having never experienced this, I am not sure how bad bad is. Does anyone have experience with this manufacturer? If so, please comment. Thanks, Bob KU4ZG from IP address 38.30.188.201 Goto Forum Home |
