g5rv, GAP, and stuff

Never used a GAP, but I've had excellent results using my friend's horizontal 6m Yagi... I'm a no-code right now, and am unused to the HF bands, but I've sat and watched Pat get contact after contact on that G5RV (not to mention, it was easy to repair after the Lawnmowing kids almost cut it to short sections while he was in Bosnia).
Heck, Bob try what you like, Ive seen conacts made both ways...and polarization doesn't really seem to matter on ssb or lsb HF work.
the vert stikes me as a space saver, while the dipole type would use more space.
Just my .2 cents worth.
