GAP is pretty cool, not a cure all, though

We have a GAP 80-10M vertical. It was a lot of fun to put up. It worked on the first try. We have used dipole antennas and the GAP. Sometimes the GAP works better, sometimes the wire works better. My fatherinlaw and I share a ham station. The GAP was the first factory made antenna for us. We are having fun, and the GAP is convenient. I think the convenience is the major feature. We put it on a post about 7 foot off the ground and guyed it with dacron rope. In the Colorado plains, 30-40MPH winds are quite common.
