Thanks to Bill and Keith for their suggestions. Although none of my students are hams at this point I plan to incorporate that training into my program. I am hoping it will help to motivate students to study for the liscense so they can use the radios. So, based on this info, I'm still searching for good water resistant HT's. Thanks again.
