Santec made one in the early '80's

A company named Santec made a FM/SSB 2m HT in the early '80's. From all accounts, it was a good one. Many people enjoyed it.

Hit up Icom and Yaesu. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. If their was enough interest, marketing might catch on to the idea.
