they know not what they do

This is the most disturbing thing I have heard in a long time. I think you are right, HF will never be the same. Probably the only hope is that midnight legions of hackers will take advantage of the fact that folks are modulating their internet use over unshielded wires to piggyback all kinds of nefarious subversion and force the networks into coax. I think that folks need to realize that, as with all aspects of our environment, there is a reduced aesthetic expectation over time. Those who have never seen an old growth forest don't know what they have lost. Likewise, WE HAVE ALREADY POLLUTED HF, this beautiful electromagnetic gift from a beautiful planet. A watt and a wire was once a reality. Is a T1 porno feed a suitable substitute for the scratch and wobble of a readable weak one on the double bounce? Is a big mac and a picknick table just recompence for a rainforest? It seems we think so. I recinded my call a long time ago Ed, now I work toward revolution full time. Dont look to the FCC..or any daddy/god/state bull**** to protect what you find sacred. Jam the ****ers, cut down their towers, ball peen their waveguide, hack their protocols, steal their credit card numbers and dissapear into the night. Reflect no light, never emit except to disrupt and then only when you can run like hell. Remember that bugs are now spread spectrum and squirt compressed echelon data on a short duty cycle. Beware of those little black traffic counter hoses they put across the roads. Never eat corporate meat. Watch your back. Pay in cash...and pray. It is a very, very brave new world out there.
