Stay away from online auctions (e.g. EBay)

I used EBay online auctions for my first and last time in the same day. As luck would have it, the seller was a fraud. Fortunately, I lost little. But the more I've looked into it, it is apparent that online auctions are a den of thieves. Stay away from all online auctions.

I'll order from online businesses with an existing reputation, or I'll head to the local bricks-and-mortar retailer. The more I've looked into EBay, there are so many ways to engage in fraud its ridiculus.
