I coach in a Pop Warner league, 7-8-9 year olds. There are d-line restrictions at my level (max of 6), and a "no blitz" rule (only d-line can rush, lb's, 3 yds deep, must read before moving upfield). Any way to modify the 10-1 within these restrictions?

10-1 Variations for Pop League

The biggest thing about the 10-1 defense is putting as many of the defensive players in the gaps and playing man to man. I don't know too many coaches who throw much in the Pop league, so you just have to have your LB's and CB's check before focusing on the ball. Hopefully, the 6 you have lined up on the line and in the gaps get to the ball carrier first, but the other players can try and stop the ball carrier before he gets too far past the line of scrimmage. But, then again, that is all I can offer. Sorry isn't really that much.
