..has anyone here tried to run John Reeds gap air mirror Denfense? I've been running a modified 4-4 and have been wanting to change but am scared of the unknown...

I've used it for 11yrs. It and John T's books changed my coaching life that D has won us some big games. Change is always hard and most people hate the 10-1 unless they believe. But no doubt it will work if you stick with it and coach it.

We have always been able to run well of-tackle against the GAM. Especially if you nasty split the TE out about 2 yards or so and put the DE in conflict. If he boxes we run the off-tackle if he lines up inside the TE we pin him in and run sweep. The GAM is a nice defense but the Single Wing does real well against it.
