dumb question

I love my 2 L.Ds with custom carbonfiber shrouds, accurate, powerful, and always ready to shoot when I am with no problems ever. Problem is..I got alot of money in them..alot. My question is this. I want to build up a 2240 with steal breech longer barral some trigger work, valve rework and something on the end to quiet it down but I do not want to invest the kind of money I have in my 2 L.Ds.

What does it cost to build one of these guns up so that the performance of the gun will rival that of my LDs....I want this to be my knock around gun. It will see abuse and used daily.....

My 2 L.Ds are great but the painted frame is easy to screw up...I want a field gun that shoots a 14 grain pellet at about 550-600 fps. Many thanks in advance.
