Response to Questions about notched sight options.

on the 2300S that I have. It should work on your 2300 and probably on your 13XX with upgrade breech. The Williams Sight that came from Crosman mounts on the Breech's Scope/Sight grooves not in a perpendicular notch the way some other sights do. Although you seem not to like the wide notch you could get a wider front sight pin; but the reason for the gap is for a "centered aim" hold which allows you to see the bullseye to eitherside of the front pin the top of which is resting on the cross point of the X on the target.

ON the Pig, Ram, chicken, Goose steel targets as long as its black in the gaps on either side of the pin when the trigger lets off the animal will probably fall. So long as you keep the sight picture the same each time I find the wider notch helps me stay on the Bull better. But it certainly is less desireable if you use a "6 O'clock" hold for which some like no gap and still others actually prefer a "V" style notch.
