Ball detent mod for 22xx/Discovery steel breech

I ordered a couple of "Spring Plungers", part# 84895A71, from McMaster-Carr. Plan to drill a hole through the top of the breech behind the loading port and push one of them up into the hole. Then take the bolt, groove a short lengthwise groove near the handle (back end), and a crosswise groove near the tip.

With the grooves strategically placed ... voila, a ball detent to hold the handle down while firing and the bolt back while loading.

We'll see if this works well or not! I'll post more when its done if anyone is interested.
