...actually took the time and effort to put a piece of brass tubing between the breech/barrel/tube area? Wow, I wouldn't think they'd do that.

I do know that one of my 392 rifles has an off center barrel. Perhaps the jig setter that day was a new hire (wink), or it was a Monday or Friday.
