Don't waste time with intermounts

You can try tighten the mount's clamping screws tight enough just short of stripping them (soft)
and it still only takes one bump or some traveling to rotate them around the barrel.
It's OK for the small 20mm plastic body scopes but any larger and the weight makes it slip even worse.

Any metal breech is the way to go, it's false economy to use anything less.
