You need to slot the the forend to fit over the original one.
The second barrel band holds the new forend in place. (Only the tube grub screw needs to be used).
I seem to remember filing a groove along the top of the 'Black Warrior' so that it would slide easier between the barrel and the tube. Sorry but I can't remember if it was actually needed.
