I used his phase one mods, the piston stuffing, valve nose flattening and the pump cup shimming, on my 760 project. I also found that the valve of the 760 can be "stretched" like the valve in a Benji 39x by leaving the two halves unscrewed just a little (ala Steve in NC). I can feel the piston cup (He did what in his cup? - Mater) bottom out just as the pump arm closes now. A bit different feeling from before the mods. I didn't do his phase two valve reduction mods though, but did do another thing that you can do to a 760 that you can't easily do with a 1377. And like him, I'm getting the original factory 10 pump velocity on only 5 strokes. It's amazing what you can do with a little time, tweaking, some spare parts, and a trip to the hardware store. LOL!!
