Scot Laughlin's Custom All Weather 2260

2260 with short crosman receiver atop a mini riser made from aluminum tube. Barrel is a 2200 soda straw
tensioned inside a titanium golf club shaft. Three screw mod to the trigger, bulk co2, SSP 250 rear cocking
striker assembly. Factory stock, reshaped, bedliner finish and stick on cheek piece. The idea was a weather
resistant light hunter for rainy days.
I've got a Cothran stainless receiver and gas tube waiting for me to get back to this one.

...and acts like a fulcrum point for the other end. Since the point is towards the muzzle, that is the natural non drag direction. Think of a spring loaded broad head arrow. Goes in one direction nicely, but pulling it out there is natural drag due to the design.

It must be noted that cocking the hammer/striker too swiftly produces the drag as well. With a nice, even pull there is no drag induced. In other words, calmly is the method. Cocking effort is low, which helps in the feel and approach.

Notice how the Hammer/striker has milled flats on either side of it? Only the top and bottom of the hammer ride, or touch in the tube. This means less friction via contact. The flat areas are key in allowing the HDD to work, as more of the HDD device/material is exposed on those flat areas.
