I will have to take the time to calibrate my mil dot scope per the instructions on the program.
playing around with it I did get what I was seeing.
Its all in the magnification. In the mean time I talked to my smartest friend, math wise.
After a brief info about what I was doing comparing one scope to the other he blirted out this
"well if they want you to use 10x on the mil dot to be accurate instead of 1000 in the formula try 400 for your 4x magnification, it should work.
before I did anything a 3.6" target was about 1.5 dots @ 25 yards. he did everything in meters on me
target hieght .09144 meters x 400=36.576/22.86(25 yards)=1.6
So I quess I will just keep a cheat sheet in the lens cover.
My targets are closer to 5" and 10" tall easy enough to make my own chart now that Im on the right track.
