I did not think through the hammer statment.

I have seen some guns with a separate cocking handle on the left side of the tube. Not using the bolt to cock the hammer. I don't know how it was done. We don't want a high speed steel arm flying down the side of the gun. Maybe an elongated slot in the side of the hammer? Just thinking out loud. Well I guess it wasn't that loud.
