Response to Because an O-ring seal is dynamic, I don't think that's a worry.

to allow it to seal when there is no pressure _behind_ it? (ie you just reinstalled it and havnt starting pumping yet)

Or am I gonna need a source of air that can dump enough pressure fast enough to make the ring "flow" and seal? Meaning, a valve equipped with DORCV will need to be charged with a tank or compressor since a hand pump wont pressurize fast enough to force the ring to seal......
