Ive had the gun almost a month now. Many shots over the chrony and many shots using some homebrew SSR setups.....
I've come to the conclusion that toning down the noise is going to take a multiple step approach.
The airstripper needs to be replaced or modfied. a baffle stack or monocore insert needs to be developed/made
you'll need a new barrel support in the shroud tube
you need a conical blast baffle in the shroud.
the barrel's muzzle needs to be decoupled from the "baffle stack". The current setup does little to persuade the air flow to change directions and use the space in the shroud tube
gun's velocity, pellet choice and fill pressure affect the muzzle blast
And I think a lot of this could be solved with a 5/8ths length of delrin or nylon rod, a lathe and a drill press. I have some drawings.......
