I've never seen the severe corrosion....

I'm no expert
suffered by the 39Xs aluminum valves on a 13XX/2289.... I'm guessing that is because of the steel outer tube instead of brass and the lower electric potential difference to cause bi-metallic corrosion.... Just my thoughts....

The springs seem to rust first and take the aluminum
