Dont really have a nick name fo rit, although all the work Ive been doing on it is making it heavy, and Ive been half-jokingly calling it the Beast. Pictured here on a small table just outside my workshop

Vert grip and riser pad detail. I used to poo poo vert grips.. ah no more,I am a convert... Riser pad adds 3/4 or so of hieght in shooting position

Bottom of the riser pad, big hole allows reading the gun's pressure gauge with the pad on

Adding the riser pad changed where my cheek weld happens, and that needed raising a bit. 1/4 thock Sorbathane 30 and aome "industrial Velcro" does the trick

Photobucket

Butt hook detail. the hook is a 5/16 bolt 6 inches long warpped with pipe insulation and vinyl electrical tape. Really helps in stopping the gun from wanting to flop over

Photobucket

Detail on how the plate, hook assembly and buttstock all connect. the T-nut is backed by a keeper nut, and once tightened it does not move

Photobucket

The wheel,  with the first set of distance markers inked on.
