It would be simple experiment to try it with a 2100 or 2200 or maybe a Daisy 880 as they come with a jacketed soda straw barrel. Maybe shorten the housing/jacket/shroud and thread the muzzle end. Nut would ride against the barrel plug/front sight piece.
For the 13xx/22xx, I wonder if you could put the TP opening and leade in the aluminum piece and then thread the barrel at both ends to screw into the breach piece as well as to screw on the tensioning nut? Gluing the barrel in and then putting it under tension doesn't sound good to me, but I'm not all that well versed in anything beyond "super glue." lol
I wonder if threading a soda straw barrel will impart a bit of choke in the threaded area? If so perhaps screwing the barrel into the breach piece may not be so good.
