I was out doing some chrony testing on my prod and adjusting the hammer spring I hear a clicking sound only after turning the guide 5 1/8 cw turns. I go another full cw turn and hear the click again and again on another which would be the 7th.
I removed the tube end cap to access the guide and found that I could only get the 5 1/8 cw turns and not the 7 that the owners manual says it can be adjusted to, which at this time you should hear the click because the guide if fully un screwed from the cap and it is just rotating on the cap.
this I discovered by screwing the guide in and out of the cap and I would only get it to go in and out the 5 turns and not the 7 .
I looked at the guide and the inside of the tube cap, nothing looks wrong. It can only screw 5cw or 5ccw before it bottoms or falls out of the tube cap.
Is this right.
can someone with a Prod confirm you get 7 and not 5 cw turns. you might have to remove the tube end cap to verify it as I have done.
need to know before I call crosman.
