Heres a sneak peak of whats coming off the bench. The Pistol Field Target Dominator which starts life as a MAC1 prepped Discovery Action that is then fitted with a 22XX Pistol Grip Frame to provide up to 20fpe of tack driving accuracy.in Pistol Field Target, Field Target, Bench Rest, 3 Position, Long Distance Plinking and Hunting.

One can also add the optional Crosman Shoulder Stock to transform it into a lightweight rifle for greater utility in the one gun does it all concept.

A wood fore stock with a nice long and flat underside is in the works from Lonnie aka Bubba the WoodSmith to get the ergonomics just right off the knee, off the elbow or sitting on your favorite front rest off the bench.

The fore stock will likely be inletted for an Anschutz Rail to allow for bipods and Adjustable Knee Risers like the unit MAC1 provides for the USFT Match Air Rifles.

Keep an eye out for the forthcoming Boo Yaah model which is based on the Dragon Slayer(.50) for the Big Bore Hunters/Aficionados out there. Pistol Field Target, just like Hunter Field Target, is a Hunting Simulation not a Precision Game like 10M Shooting.

Were trying to keeping it real so small bore silhouette targets and Big Bore Pistols is a game in the works as we work with the Pistol genre of airgun shooting, more to come on that

If you have any suggestions to improve the Pistol Field Target Dominator, let me know

Regards,

Tony

Thanks Chris! LOL, Guys like Elmer Keith dreamt of powerful accurate handguns that most

November 7 2009, 9:39 PM

laughed at...he blew up guns in his hands with the hot loads he made...from it came .357 Magnum and .44Magnum and everyone respected him and the rest was history...

Tony

Tony, I'm OK with it but...

November 7 2009, 6:50 PM

the "End thingy" is a bit over the top, especially for FT. If it were hunting it would be different.

Just my opinion which when combined with $6.50 U.S. will get you a latte at Starbucks. happy.gif

Hee Hee Lon, thanks, this exercise was in part in jest

November 7 2009, 9:42 PM

given the uptight political climate of Pistol FT and the jibberish about Restricting this that and the other!!! The end thingy was from one of my 2250's!

I'll be playing with it and different barrels...maybe even a .20 barrel!!! happy.gif

Regards,

Tony

November 8 2009, 9:15 PM

I still like "hand rifles" but admittedly that one is the extreme.

The target is REAL, Eric shot it with a Discovery Stock on it...

November 8 2009, 9:50 PM

I will likely put a 2250 barrel or 15" .177 barrel on it to see how it performs...then try a .20...

Tony

Nah, I got it covered, I converted a scissor jack to use as a front rest, its rated for 2,500 pound, the pistol should be fine!!! happy.gif
