First, a big thankyou to Jeff P for the transfer port. It is of the restrictive variety, with an id of .070 iirc and is designed to increase shot count rather than power.

With a 2260 hammer spring and a 2000 psi fill, I can get 50 shots in the region of 650 fps with JSB Express. So I decided to try a Discovery hammer spring with two coils removed and a 3000 psi fill to hopefully increase the velocity a tad but retain a high shot count.

The results were as follows:

shots 1-10
lo 731.8
hi 756
avg 742
es 24.18
sd 7.93

shots 11-20
lo 743
hi 771
avg 760
es 28
sd 8.36

shots 21-30
lo 759.7
hi 773.1
avg 765.9
es 17.39
sd 4.0

shots 31-40
lo 751
hi 769
avg 761.5
es 18.72
sd 6.16

shots 41-50
lo 695.7
hi 752.9
avg 727.9
es 37.21
sd 18.31

Granted, the #'s of the 41-50 aren't that great, but 1-40 are AOK in my book.

Thanks for looking

Crazy good numbers, thanks for the TP info also, might be fun to neck down the Discovery (still set at 990fps for Squirrels at range). I dont suppose you will be needing a drop sear trigger group, or ?
We still have that world class pistol scope ( best optics I have ever seen in a pistol scope) of yours and have meant to return it at a match or something, if it is any problem let me know and I will try to Mail it back to your house. It is still naturally in flawless condition.
Thanks for sharing the build info!

I miss seeing you & Tammy and maybe I can fit in a visit in the not too distant future?

As far as the pistol scope, don't sweat it at all my brother. Enjoy it as I don't really have a use for it.

Say hi to Tammy
