Which is louder.... .177 or .22

Since the 1377 can be converted to .22 _very_ easily and will use the exact same powerplant, is one caliber gonna be inherently quieter than the other?

 just a little, no difference.....

but it all depends on how much air is being expelled and how long your barrel is , etc et

Since the larger caliber with its larger bore volume allows...

...the charge to expand more completely and thus exhaust at a lower pressure (all part-in-parcel with delivering more energy to the pellet), .22 will be at least marginally quieter.

in my humble opinion,hee hee, it will depend on many variables....pell weight, pumps, weather/air conditions. but generally i have found that the 177 is louder due to the faster velocity of the pell and the smaller aperature of the barrel.
